MELINDA CLEMMONS

Prior to launching my freelance writing and editing business in 2016, I worked for over 20 years in nonprofits serving children, youth, and families, including 12 years of direct service with teens in foster care. I enjoy drawing out the story nonprofits want to tell about the important work they do—in grant proposals and reports, newsletters, annual reports, website and social media content, and more. I have an MFA in writing from Washington University, and my stories and poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Rust + Moth, the Cimarron Review, the Midwest Review, the San Pedro River Review, Kindred, Eclipse, The Monthly, and elsewhere.
